I wouldn't go so far to say that Seattle is a fashion wasteland, but it's close. When a fleece from REI is considered an "evening jacket" you know you're in trouble. But Sway + Cake is a bright spot on the fashion horizon. Their jean selection is great -- they carry True Religion, Seven, Joe's Jeans and more. There are also a few shoes to choose from and a good selection of upscale T-shirts. There is a decent selection of jewelry and they run pretty good sales. It can be expensive, but no more than that awful Gore-Tex jacket you were thinking of buying.
