I'm 38 yrs old and have spent my entire adult life knowing that I had unresolved orthodontic issues. But, having had years of horribly bad experiences with an orthodontist as a teenager, I was more than apprehensive about seeing one as an adult. My smile isn't that crooked by appearance so I chose not to bother with it. However my dentist explained to me that my "tooth aches" are being caused by the orthodontic issues, I realized it was time to do something about it. He highly recommended Dr. Carter, so I set the appointment. From the moment I walked in the door the staff was friendly, there was NO wait time (which helped keep the anxiety from building as it does when I sat in waiting rooms unsure of what is about to happen). Each technician did a great job of explaining what they were doing and why. Dr. Crawford took a good deal of time analyzing my problems and explaining and discussing with me as she went along. I very quickly was able to relax and just listen and communicate. While discussing the possible best course of treatment, her staff got the numbers ready for me so that I would know what I'm looking at as far as costs. There was no sitting and waiting at any point from start to finish. I will definitely be following up with the recommended treatment. Not only that I feel comfortable and confident in Dr. Crawford's ability to treat my needs. Which is a nice change of pace from all of my previous experience with orthodontists.
