Ayers and Galloway Hardware in Middletown, NY is a perfect hardware store. It is especially perfect if you are like me and require at least 3 trips to the store for supplies during a project.
A/G is in the heart of downtown Middletown (directly accross from the Library) and is much easier to get to on a Saturday than Loews or HD. Their selection is great (no lumber) and they have VERY knowledgable old guys who can help you with your project.
A/G is in a cool old building, and it is the kind of place your grandfather shopped at.
