Imperial Theater - Review by Brina S | Imperial Theater

Imperial Theater

Imperial Theater 8/15/2005

The Imperial Theatre was built in 1917 after the devastating Augusta fire of the previous year. It hosted vaudeville in its early days, as well as the original silent movies and later the first "talkies". Today the theater is used for live stage performances and is the artistic home of the Augusta Opera and the Augusta Ballet. The Imperial is located is historic downtown Augusta. The latest play I watched there was "Grease" and it was awesome. more
