Sugar Bowl Motel is your average "cheap" motel where many seedy characters like to go. Regardless of this, I am still perplexed after staying there, why they are charging almost $50 a night for a double. It's not a very safe neighborhood, there is always traffic in and out of the place and it is extremely noisy, while staying there, I must have gotten up a few times to see if there really was someone loitering outside my window. This is not a very good place to bring your family if you are going to be staying in Houma. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone really, and I don't understand how they stay in business being $50 a night when the even more seedier A-Bear and Lake Houma's Inn are a few miles away, and a lot cheaper.
