Riley's donuts on Clear Lake City Boulevard in Houston, TX is the friendliest donut shop I've ever been to. I don't go regularly since I live in Pittsburgh but the man who works there recognizes my mom and is incredibly friendly. He makes an effort to get to know all his customers, what their interests are, etc. The walls are decorated with newspaper articles about his customers, winning a volleyball game, going to Iraq, or acting in a school play. It's a really neat environment. The food is great too (though Morning's Kolaches still have my favorite jalapeno kolaches).
