Although it is not park of Amtrak, the Wapello County Historical Museum is located in the same building as the train depot. At the museum you can sign up for tours to see some of Ottumwa's history. Although it is kind of expensive there are a lot of neat things to see. Parked just outside the museum is a restored train engine. Although you can't go inside it is neat to see the train car as it looked when it was still running. Also at the museum is an old fire truck. Kids would really get a kick out of that!
