ok, so it was at a special dinner party for a friend's wedding rehearsal dinner. but, man, they pulled out all the stops for it! several courses (i can't remember how many), all in a beautiful traditional japanese setting, all incredibly delicious. unfortunately, i was pregnant at the time, so my watchdog husband only let me have one piece of sashimi, but it was so delectable. i love the beautiful traditions involved in serving a meal, so i'd love to come back and ESPECIALLY with someone who could explain to me all the awesome customs.
