I can't remember what it costs to get in, but most times the Village is open when the fairgrounds hosts events like at Easter....then admission price to the Village is included with the event.
I was there once and they had a wild pig (from WELLINGTON!) roasting over a fire. He even let me and my sister try some. The kids had fun climbing the old fire trucks and playing with the water pump. That day they even had pony rides (free!).
This place is worth going to if you're going to be there anyway, like in the case at Easter. That's when they have extra stuff for the kids to do from the era like home made bubble wands and home made sock horses on a stick (with hay to go with!).
