Not only is this a park where your kids can run around and climb the jungle gym (that has a nice water feature), but it also boasts a small community theater, and exhibit hall as well.
I took my parents to see a play there a few years ago and the sound was great for a small venue.
I also went back when they had a science exhibit pass through. Very interactive. We learned about sound and movement. (At least that's what I remember!)
I'm pretty sure it's also a traditional park with basketball courts, baseball diamonds, etc.... You can call ahead to find out--they actually answer their phone!
Best part, everything (except the theater) is free!
