Air Current installed a new AC unit for us in March of last year. There'd been a noise coming from the unit since the installation which I've never been comfortable with, which happens when it starts up, and it makes excessive noise when shutting down. But when they came back for a yearly checkup earlier this year, in June or July, they said it was fine and that it wasn't a problem. Then I had to call Air Current again a few weeks ago because the AC unit stopped working completely. The technician came out and said something about a wire, that it might have burnt out or something, and he was able to correct it so that it works now. But frankly if that's the case then I think there must be poor workmanship on the unit. The last unit we had lasted for 15 years and we only ever had one problem with it. The installation itself was fine, I just question the quality of the unit. I thought it was under warranty but they charged me $85 to do the fix. I don't know if it should have been covered, honestly I haven't looked at the paperwork again, but it seemed concerning that something should go wrong with it already and that we'd have to pay for it. The people who did the installation and the technician did fine jobs, but I do have some issues with the quality of the unit so far.
