My service advisor David Becwar has always been very professional , friendly, and has shown an interest and concern for this customer and others that I have observed. The service dept is very efficient and well trained in any repair or maintenance work that is performed on the car. My most recent visit it was pointed out that my air filter was getting dirty and my water pump had a leak. Whereas I had the water pump replaced last year elsewhere for a $200.savings I returned to the shop and was told that it was not leaking but it was only the sealant that was used when installing it. I am glad I did not agree to a $400 new water pump. My check engine service light was on and Village Toyota did not mention anything about this to me or offer to check the problem(yet it was noted on my tech diagnostic sheet). My biggest problem with Village is the prices that are charged for parts. I know when it comes time to replace the air filter I can get it for 2/3 less than what I would have been charged at Village. Coupons are sent in the mail I am told but I never get one. My wife receives them occasionally with her name or current resident which means it is a mass mailing. My wife does not own a Toyota has never had her car serviced there yet she get the coupons and not me who is there every 5,000 mi for a service. This is a senior community with many on a fixed income and to see the many seniors at Village I wish they could do more at reducing prices. Village is always coming out saying this needs to be done or that and we can not afford it.
