We happily and fortunately stumbled upon Clinton House after having been snubbed by the rude and haughty people at restaurant across the river. Carol was so welcoming and friendly the moment we walked in, we knew that we were going to have a good experience. The menu was a bit surprising since the décor of the restaurant was very old fashioned, we expected a menu with only old classics and comfort food. We gravitated towards the specials. My husband had the pecan crusted pork tenderloin and it was perfectly cooked and moist. I had the blackended mahi mahi over the Caesar salad and it was perfectly cooked and moist. Mahi Mahi is a challenging fish to cook as it can easily become dry if overcooked, but their chef did an excellent job. Even my kids were amazed at how moist and tender their homemade chicken fingers were. We plan to go back for a visit with my in laws soon!
