Mr. Hewitt came to our home as previously scheduled to provide a quote for the replacement of a solar shade installed by another company. (The control chain for the large shade had broken repeatedly and we had become impatiet with the solutions offered by the original company.) Mr. Hewitt was patient and helpful. Mr. Hewitt provided the quote as requested (working carefully and patiently), but, against his own short-term financial interest, he then urged us to contact the original provider and insist on a free repair. He explained that the window-treatment industry expects to stand behind their products, and he would certainly expect to repair or replace a shade with such problems. The quote he provided, for two shades to replace one large one, was less than we originally paid for the big shade. While we have taken his advice and are pursuing a resolution with the original provider, we would certainly call Mr. Hewitt first for any new work in our home.
