I brought my 14 year old Pekinese to Handel with care for a grooming as I have been doing for some time and was told he was over due for a rabies shot. I thought about going to my own vet for that I have been using for some 20 years but they said they would do it there if I wanted. I thought about it and said ok go ahead and give it to him. What a mistake! When I brought Gizmo in that day he was fine. When I picked him up his head was tilted, he was stumbling to one side and could hardly stand up. Dr. Handel said he didn't understand why, (he's a vet I thought) and left it as is. Three weeks later Gizmo has only gotten worse and I fear I'm losing my friend of 14 years. I let him down by allowing those people to give him that shot. What happened during his stay there is anyones guess but all I know is he was perfect when he went in and horrible when he came out. Although I'm sure some people have had a measure of success with this vet the possibility of something like this hap
