Avoid these Apartments! I have been a tenant at Charter Oaks Apt for nearly a year and a half. Unfortunately, when second-hand smoke started to enter our apartment (we live on a second floor apartment, a smoker in the unit directly below), the apartment management did nothing. After complaining for nearly two months, the maintenance finally came to try to seal our apartment off from the one below. While this did lead to improvement, the smoke from the common hallway as well as from the air ducts from below still made the apartment unhabitable. This situation has forced us to leave. The apartment management was unaccommodating and were not willing to resolve this issue. The Buisson Investment group which manages these apartments are pathetic. Steer clear of these generally poorly constructed apartments and the management which is even worse.
