Honestly, I had kind of a bad experience with Giant Monkey Movers when I hired them to help me move from San Diego to Indianapolis. They gave me an estimate of the materials that I needed to provide for the job, which was two dozen furniture blankets. I got them from Home Depot before they came and they ended up stating that they needed a dozen more upon arrival so I went and grabbed another dozen. We were off to a shaky start there.
When they started packing up my things, they were originally just loading them into the van without wrapping them up like I had asked them to. I had to stop and remind them. At the end of the job, they realized that they were still five furniture blankets short so again, we had to stop and get more blankets. This definitely held things up in the process of trying to clean up the place and preparing to move everything.
They initially estimated that they would complete the job in three hours since they said that they're capable of moving many more belongings than what I had in that amount of time. They ended up taking an hour longer and charging me for four hours. I already had all of my furniture ready to just get wrapped and loaded into the van and it shouldn't have taken them that long.
They also made a mess while using our restroom. All in all, the experience was disappointing and I wouldn't use them again.
