I really felt I got a good deal with A Step Above. Visiting an auto mechanic can be a less than perfect experience, but I found Mike and Josef to be really helpful and fair. I brought in a Honda Civic and replaced a timing belt, the water pump, tires, and a transmission mount. I also serviced the transmission and had new gear oil for the stick shift and all the other fluids replaced. So it was a pretty major service.
I haven't been there before, but I was glad that I decided to go there this time. I've recommended them to another friend of mine already. They were very helpful and kept me informed the whole way through. I wasn't looking to find a super cheap price and I feel like I got what I paid for. It was a good deal for me. I ended up driving across country and had no problems getting there or back. That was the point: I needed to have a car I could count on.
