Brought my dog in multiple times for different issues. When asked about urinating in her sleep, they refused to believe it had anything to do with her spay and refused to do any blood work. I asked multiple times to check her for issues regarding her bladder problems, but the continued to refuse, saying she was fine. Then, at two years and five months old, I brought her in for bad breath and weight loss. They said her weight was fine (despite it being ten pounds less than the time before) and that the breath was just tarter and to try brushing her teeth. A week later, she started throwing up and acting odd. Normally, she would be bouncing all over when I would come home, but she started staying on her bed, or would get up to greet me, but then go right back and lay down again. So I brought her back in. They FINALLY did the blood work and told me that my dog should already be dead at the levels she had. Apparently, her kidneys were shutting down from chronic kidney disease. She had showed symptoms for over a year and despite my insistence that something was wrong, they kept telling me she was fine and did nothing. By the time they finally checked, it was too late. We rushed her to the ER vet to see about a blood transfusion, but they said it would only prolong the inevitable. It was awful as my girl's body had been adjusting to the disease so despite her horrible levels, she looked and acted fine. She was walking around, giving kisses, wagging her tail. I had to say goodbye to my best friend who wasn't even two and a half years old. I will forever believe that they stole any chance I had of helping her by their refusal to listen to the owner, the person who knows when their dog is not right.
