Waking up in the morning with only one side of my face functioning normally was one of the scariest moments in my life. What was equally scary to me was the fact that there was no explanation as to why this was happening or how to fix it. I went to the emergency room and was told I had Bells Palsy.I was prescribed steroids and antiviral medicine.I was told the symptoms could last anywhere from 3 months to a year and in severe cases could even be permanent.My aunt suggested that chiropractic care would help to relieve my Bells Palsy. Dr. Dees office immediately made room for me to come in. I was given my first adjustment 24 hours after the onset of my symptoms. My face felt tingly and my eye closed a little more following my first adjustment. I also began acupuncture treatment. I think that getting both of these treatments quickly and simultaneously after the onset of my symptoms made it possible for the positive results I have received. I had full function of my face in about 5 weeks.In this stressful time, Dr. Dees did everything they could to help me through this time in my life.
