I contacted Prestigious Pets on a Tuesday, hoping to set up daily walks starting the next Monday. The walks would be daily, Monday through Friday. They set up an appointment to meet my dogs on Thursday. We met on Thursday and everything was fine. I gave them a check for the first week, and I gave them 2 sets of keys to my condo. \r

In the contract with Prestigious Pets, it states that there will be a 4% charge on credit card payments. It was my understanding that such a charge is illegal in Texas. So on Friday I sent them an email telling them that they could access the Texas Attorney General’s website to confirm that this is illegal.\r
\r
Please note: I was not going to pay by credit card since I did not want to pay the additional 4%. I told them that I would be paying by check.\r

On Saturday morning, I received an email stating that they would not be able to walk my dogs. This gave me less than 48 hours to find a replacement. \r

It is hard for me to fathom the unprofessional and irresponsible behavior of this company. I tried to contact them twice to see what the problem was, and they did not respond. Clearly this “company” (I use the word loosely) has something to hide. So now I will file a complaint with the Texas Attorney General, and I will provide him with a copy of the contract describing the illegal charge.\r
\r
I would suggest staying away from this company. I hate that they have copies of my keys. I’m worried for the safety of my pets and my property.\r
