Unprofessional, dishonest, rude and unreliable! One of the worst businesses I have tried to use in a very long time. On a recommendation I called John's because I has a major problem and needed someone to work with me on payments. When I called and spoke to the receptionist/owners wife I was upfront about the payment issue and was assured this would not be a problem just be upfront & honest when speaking to the owner/plumber. It struck me as odd that the receptionist would call to tell me the plumber would then call to set up when he'd come out - is that not why you have a receptionist. None the less once the owner called I was upfront with him as well regarding payments and again assured this would be no problem because they understand and like to help people when they can. I was not looking for anything for free or any type of discount what so ever. So finally the plumber came out. Very unprofessional looking but I let it slide. Upon looking at the issue and telling me equipment was needed I was quoted a price. Again I discussed payments with him and told no problem. I offered to pay him then and set up a monthly payment from my credit card. I was told that it was ok and we'd wait to do all that once the job was done. This was on a Thursday and I was told he'd be back either Monday or Tuesday. Tuesday rolled around with no word from John's Plumbing. I placed a call to them and left a message on their answering machine. My call was promptly returned by the wife/receptionist. She explained to me they decided they were not willing to do payments with me and could not help me. This was after a 4 day wait. What company does that? I am so glad I never gave them my credit card information. Very unprofessional. If you tell someone you are willing to work with them and then go back on that this makes your business look bad. The fact that the wife/receptionist slammed who recommended me shows to me that these people are very untrustworthy. Don't call them! I was in a tough spot and was assured 3 times they were willing to work with me and in the end lied to. Just don't use them.
