The technician did not do any pre-spraying or agitating. Nothing more than a simple rent of a machine for $20.
At the end i had to pay cash for taxes and the technician, of course did not have change.
RESPONSE FROM Deluxe Carpet Cleaning:
This job was scheduled as a promotion with Living Social at a discounted rate whereby the customer paid $69 for a $149 value. Sales tax is always additional in these promotions and is stated as such on the Living Social voucher received by the customer.
As far as the equipment used. We sent out a Truck Mounted Steam Cleaning unit valued at over $20,000 (not counting the truck) to do this work. Hardly a $20 rental! This customer would not return our phone call when we tried to follow up. We would be happy to return at no charge and re-do any or all of the work to the customer's complete satisfaction. This customer never contacted us to say he was unhappy with the workmanship. We believe he was angry over having to pay $5.69 in sales tax.
