I took my car in for a car wash and detailing. After waiting in their waiting area, I was informed my car was ready. When I went to my car (a Toyota Prius) I noticed the main emergency light was on, I could not shift the car out of park or neutral and my display kept saying error. When I first brought the issue up to the man cleaning my car, he could not tell me what happened. I then asked to speak to the manager. The manager then stated that as he put the car in neutral to run it through the wash, the emergency light came on but he still pushed it through. (Which I don't understand why he would not have came and got me since I was on the grounds.) \r \r I then took the car to a mechanic and the mechanic stated that the problem is water being used on the inside and flooding the battery. I then proceeded to go back to the same manager and told him what we were told and he said it was my fault for not making sure a Prius can be put in water. He then said they power wash the inside of each car. (Which I'm not fully sure why.) I said I have washed the car before and never had any problems and felt it was funny that if the car was acting funny why did the manager either: a) come get me or b) not accept the job. Now I'm told it could run around $8,000 depending on how shot the battery is and the manager refuses to do anything.\r \r Heed my words: BE VERY CAREFUL WHEN TAKING YOUR CAR THERE! CHECK IT OVER BEFORE YOU LEAVE THEIR LOT AND SPEAK TO A MANAGER IF THERE ARE ANY PROBLEMS. more
