I've been going to Dr Sands for about 5 years after an unpleasant experience with another, less 'ethical' dentist.
Having moved around the country many times over the last 40 years I've been acquainted with probably 20 or so other dentists in my time. Dr Sands has been my dentist for the last 5 years and I consider him to be one of the best I've yet had.
His work is very good, I've never had a single post-op problem with anything that he's done. Once the anesthetic has worn off, I've never experienced any further pain, nor discomfort. Crowns and fillings that he's replaced have fit well, and seem to be lasting well.
He is very good at triaging work. He'll tell you both what needs to be done, and how urgent it is - whether it'll need to be done immediately, or whether it can wait for a few months. Which makes budgeting for dental work much easier. Unlike my previous dentist, I've NEVER felt that any of the work he's performed was unnecessary.
He explains what he's doing, and why, very clearly, and inspires great trust in his patients.
His staff are very friendly and welcoming, and clearly very loyal to him. and I've seen a very slow turnover of people. Which is always a good sign, if the people under you like you then you must be doing something right.
And he has a good bedside/chairside manner. He finds it easy to make small talk, and remembers what you chatted about on your last visit.
I've recommended a few of my friends to him already, and they've been happy too.
All in all a big thumbs up
