I wish this place would go out of business and close down. They are hands down the absolute worst place you could ever image for taking your car into. Even if your car burst into flames as you drove by this venue, I would strongly recommend to keep driving and wait for the next shop.
Why? Their staff lies. Plain and simple.
1. A few months ago, my wife and I went in for a simple oil change, and during their courtesy inspection (which they actually charge you for as I found out today) they claimed our car needed new shocks. They joked at how unbalanced it looked and said we needed to repair to avoid potential accidents. Their estimate was around $1,200.
Skeptical, since I had just undergone major 100k maintenance at the dealership the previous month, I declined and took the car to the dealership for an inspection. Results: The dealership said the shocks were perfect and no repair would be needed at all. Midas was just trying to replace perfectly good shocks and charge me significantly more (dealership said it would've been more like $400ish with them) for this unnecessary service.
I figured this was a one off thing since their Oil Change was cheap, next time I'd just go in and decline and ""inspections""
2. Today, I was denied an oil change because they claim they do not offer an ""Oil Change only"" service for $24.99, even though when I made the appointment this was the price quoted to me. Instead, I had to pay $50 for the Oil Change Plus Inspection! WTF? I thought the inspection was free?
So, remembering their coupons, I downloaded the official Midas app, which has built in coupons (spoiler alert, its worthless). I pulled up an e-coupon for a $19 oil change service. They refused to accept it. Saying I had to print it. Even though the app says no printing required, they would not accept their own e-coupon. I then found the $24 Oil Change service listed, and again they refused to do it unless I paid $50 for the Change Plus Inspection. They could not remove the inspection at all, nor take the app's discount.
So I walked away, and they didn't care.
Not only that, but they were running late and pushed back my appointment.
Prior times, they took longer than expected.
The staff is rude and extremely unhelpful.
Please avoid at all costs. No matter how cheap their services are with coupons.
