I'm from Chicago and love my city. I've lived here my whole life and am constantly on the search for new fun things to do. I had a friend who saw a tv show about this company and thought why not? I'm single and ready to mingle!!! We went online and chose the events. Some of the restaurants I am huge fans of and some not so much. I had been to Whiskey Sky but never to Whiskey Bar. Although Whiskey Sky is like 30 something stories up, I found it to be cramped and not my style so my friend and I picked Whiskey Bar in the Sutton Hotel. When we arrived it was actually too early. I don't know what I was thinking but we arrived an hour early - definitely a space cadet moment :-) The staff at Whiskey bar are super sweet and gave us a drink on the house while we waited. A while later the hosts arrived. This was actually kinda cool as we talked with them as they set up for the big event and got to know them a bit. Both hosts were also born and bred in Chi town so we bonded about how great we were. :-) Then the others starting coming in. It went from a library to a zoo in minutes. It was like everyone took the same train in or something! Finally everyone got in and we started. It's a really cool and weird experience at once. Everyone tries to flirt with everyone until you can decide if they are right for you. Once you do - you might not flirt so much or completely throw yourself at them! It was a super big crowd so we had a break in the middle which was desperately needed. I can't imagine me peeing my pants would impress a date. In the middle they have food for everyone and the bar is ready for more drinks. A short while later sit everyone back down and we're off to the races! There were a few guys I found particularly sweet so I chose them. My friend found one she really liked and luckily for us, it wasn't the same one. Now that would of been weird! I think I saw this on Seinfeld!!! Anyway, the night ends and you give who you would like to see again to the hostess who computes all the matches. The next day an e-mail pops in letting you know if you had matches. I don't want to get into how I scored but I did pretty well:-) I just liked everything about it. It was easygoing, fun, different and something I would definitely be up for again.
