This isn't a review on the warranty company, although Samsung was awesome in handling the manufacturer defect of my 46"" LCD Television. This is a review for Precision Television Repair and my experience with them specifically. My TV is four years old and just now developed a problem with it's power supply board. Apparently some of the capacitors were defective and a class action lawsuit had been settled years ago over it. End result, Samsung had agreed to dispatch a local repair service for a one time in-home repair to resolve the issue with that model, regardless of warranty status. After contacting Samsung on a Saturday and arranging the repair, Samsung selected Precision Television Repair for my service call. After processed the authorization, Samsung told me I would be receiving a call from the repair shop within 48 hours. Monday morning, a gal from Precision called to schedule the repair. She offered me an AM or PM four hour window on Tuesday. I chose the AM and she advised me that the repairman would follow-up that evening to narrow it down to a two hour window. I got the call from Luis that night and he confirmed he'd be there the next morning between 9 and 11am. He arrived at 9:00am sharp and had completed the repair within 30 minutes. The power supply board is good as new and I'm a very satisfied customer of Precision Television Repair. more
