Sheil Colonial Chapel in Raytown provided excellent service to me and my family after my mother died. All of the details were handled competently in a professional, respectful and compassionate way.They did not forget one little thing and went out of their way to help. I came from out of town and didn't have a rosary or small frames for several photos. They managed to find a rosary and mounted the photos in frames. When the church we had planned on using was already scheduled, they offered their chapel. The accommodations were perfect for us - about 50 people came. The surroundings were simple, rather than gaudy, home-like and inviting. My mother had purchased a funeral plan several decades ago. Everything she wanted was provided and there were no unexpected charges. I had not counted on an escort to the cemetery due to the distance and city traffic but the two provided were amazing! I highly recommend the McGilley Sheil funeral home to anyone who wants to provide their loved one with a beautiful, dignified service.
