DISAPPOINTED WITH THE INTEGRITY 3/20/2012

How do I give no stars?\r \r My husband and I recently contacted Pat's plumbing to take a look at our kitchen faucet. The faucet was leaking and we had concerns about where the water was coming from and what to do. The plumber arrived on time. He phoned me because I was out of the house. ""The leak is being caused by the sprayer and You have two options."" He went on to tell me that he could repair the sprayer/faucet for a figure that was north of 350.00 dollars or install a BRAND NEW FAUCET for 850.00 plus. I declined these offers. My father was a general contractor for 40 some odd years. I had some experience in construction and repairs and realized I was being hustled. My husband had originally looked at the issue and he has limited skills with fixing things. This being said I sent him down to Lowe's and he bought the correct part, a sprayer hose and assembly for about 20.00 and replaced it in about 5 minutes. I know that this job should cost something, but 350.00 dollars seems like a crazy estimate? I think it was actually like 380.00 I was so shocked by this inequitable estimate. It was beyond belief. If I had ever offered one of my Dad's building clients a set of ridiculous options like that he would have tanned my hide but seriously proper. This is completely lacking in integrity and is shameful exploitative behavior. The offer to replace the faucet was completely over the top. It's like offering someone a full set of dentures because they have a pinhead sized chip in their tooth. \r I called the office to speak with a individual about this, she initially argued with me and said you are getting 20 years of experience and a company name... I want to make sure folks know what kind of ethics and morals are really behind that name.\r We won't call you again!\r \r more
