On March 12, 2012, I called several companies to come over and give me an estimate to clean the coils from my a/c unit since it hasn't been done in awhile. The first one that came out ""Cool Air USA"" nice guy and he told me what's wrong with my unit. My unit was 15 years old, the coils were rusted out and mold has already developed in the unit. He explained that he couldn't guarantee the work of just cleaning the coils because of the possibility of the coils falling apart because it was rusty.. He was very pushy and very persistent and kept insisting that I needed to purchase a unit THAT DAY and have him install the unit immediately.. I explained to him that I don't work that way. I don't like to be rushed into anything and I'd like to continue getting some estimates and weigh my options.. While he was present in front of me, I went to BBB and other sites to check out the reviews of ""Cool Air USA"" history. It was totally negative and a RED FLAG was placed on this company from BBB. That totally made my antennas go up and I advised the rep from ""Cool Air USA"" that I would give them a consideration if I wasn't able to obtain a better quote.
On March 14, 2012, I met with James Flora, from ""AIR ON DEMAND"". Really cool laid back young man and I waited until he was done with his inspection to see if he would come up with the same results from the rep of ""Cool Air USA"". He was very honest and said similar things that the other company's rep stipulated. He mentioned that the unit was old but that he was able to clean it as best as he could in the meantime and that would buy me some time to come up with the money and purchase a new unit in the near future. Never pushy, very wholesome and like I said laid back kind of guy. One thing that stood out with James than from the other company's rep, he was not demanding nor looking for a quick sale. He laid out my options, gave me the green light and took all the time in the world to literally answer all my questions and concerns. He was very informative.
In front of James, I checked with BBB and other sites with the reviews on ""AIR ON DEMAND"". Literally everything was positive. No RED FLAG no where to be seen. This was a major factor that made me make my decision.. Instead of cleaning the unit and hold off until later, save that $300 and invest it in a new unit and not worry about it for another 10 years +. I immediately got a quote from James and cut him a check for half of the quote.
On March 19, 2012, literally two business days later, my new unit was installed by James and working just fine. Now that's what I call service. I'm so happy with them that I recommend this company highly for your a/c needs. My family is already looking to call them for their needs.. This is definitely a company you can trust and not worry you're getting ripped off.
