I love one of a kind restaurants. I was told many wonder things about this place. I ordered a cheeseburger and fries. I opened my burger and to my surprise, it was dry and hard around the edges. The middle of the burger felt cold. I called and was told that the cook had just made that burger. She further stated that the she watched the cook prepare the burger. (I work five minutes away from Velvet Cream) I called back and asked for the manager. He advised that he cooked the burger and it was fresh. I advised him that the burger tasted as if it was warmed from the day prior. He advised that they'd prepared those burgers the same way for sixty years. I reiterated that it was good & they should continue to prepare burgers in the same manner...since they've never received complaints. I paid $6.00 for a small burger and fries. I was very disappointed at the way it was handled. He only offered an apology. After speaking with a coworker, she advised that she had a fresh, juicy burger about two weeks ago. She said it sounded like it was warmed from a prior day.
