I cannot say enough good things about this place... You are treated like family from the moment you walk in (kind of like the salon scene from the movie Steele Magnolias – you even sit in the chair and chat). You are greeted with a warm welcome and smiles (including a cup of coffee or water). The service is impeccable from the time you arrive, to the time you leave. Not to mention the warm and inviting atmosphere and decor. From what I have observed, all customers (men, women & children) leave with complete satisfaction and feel good about themselves. For myself, I always leave there feeling ""pretty"" again. BakkenWood offers many stylish cuts, many colors and master styles. They offer many services...everything from hair styles to facial waxing to beard trimming. They are always ""hip"" to the new trends (i.e.: feathers, extensions, etc.). They have very competitive prices and you are guaranteed to get your monies worth. Any service is worth every penny. BakkenWood is conveniently located next to Subway on the downtown No.St. Paul strip...so hey...you can pick up lunch or dinner after your appointment, or feel free to stop into Roddy's down the street for their famous deep fried pickles or Neumann’s for a delicious burger.
