Cataract Correction: Artificial Intraocular Lenses (IOLs) 3/15/2012

The most important point of evaluation by far is resultant vision after cataract correction. My dominant eye was done 16 days ago and the other 9 days ago. At this point I am 100% satisfied with the end result. I've been wearing glasses for over 50 years and now I don't need them for 95++% of what I do. Dr. Stewart & staff get my highest recommendation. Based on my selection of fixed focus monofocal IOLs, Dr. Stewart strongly recommended correcting my dominant eye for distance vision and the other for intermediate vision (eyes to computer screen distance as I judge it). At first I was thinking distance correction for both eyes. Now I am most thankful to Dr. Stewart for persisting until I ""saw the light"" ... literally. I will still get prescription eyeglasses, mostly for small type and dim lighting, as well as Transitions® lenses for sun, but whether I wear them or not will be my choice. Charles A.
