I remember the first time I stepped on the machine. It wasn't until then that I realized that my body just felt off. Dr. Schenk asked me to stand with my weight evenly distributed and I couldn't. I came in because I had been dealing with acid reflux for the past 2 years as well as allergies. When I heard of NUCCA from a family member, I'll admit I was skeptical, but I felt I had already tried everything including surgery, medications and diet change. Today I feel as though this is how my body is meant to feel. Being a singer, my throat needs to be in top shape at all times. Now when I do my stretches before a gig I don't feel very much stress leaving my body like I used to because it's just not there. I'm never sore anymore and to my surprise my acid reflux symptoms have greatly improved!
