The headline says it all. After allowing a healthy young animal to needlessly suffer and pass on during a routine procedure, these people charged double the cost of cremation. I've checked around and other vets only add a minor (like $10-15) administrative fee over the cost that comes from crematorium, so as not to take advantage of people in a time of grief. These people at Countryside doubled the cost from the crematorium, clearly taking one last opportunity to profit from their clients suffering. When a complaint was made their attitude was either pay the fee or not get the ashes in return. Totally unsympathetic! They are incompetent and unethical. PLEASE take your animal elsewhere.
