Do not even take into consideration the negative reviews left about this restaurant. If you are a vegetarian, don't go to a Mexican restaurant, go to Ann Arbor. This is the best Mexican food around. I have been to Amigos, Mexican Gardens, Xochimilco's, and Taco Especial. They do not compare when it comes to good food. The Matador's food is full of taste and very modestly priced. It is as close to authentic as you can get in Metro Detroit. I love the atmosphere and the staff. They are very nice and you get your food in a timely manner. Their salsa is excellent and different than anyone else and I can't get enough of the numerous amounts of tortilla chips that you get. (They bring out more every time you finish a bowl.) The Botana is to die for as well as their Enchiladas. They even have some awesome American food. Their chicken tenders are the best I've ever had. They also have excellent burgers, fries, and cheesesticks. I love this place and will recommend it to anyone who likes good food.
