One Word - Terrible 2/23/2012

My wife decided to get her oil changed at Kwik Kar since it is less than a mile from our house. She was conned into replacing her cabin air filter and was also told that she needed to get new brakes. She ended up paying 50 dollars for a filter which costs 10 dollars at AutoZone which didn't even need to be replaced. I also cannot figure out why they were checking the brakes when she went in for an oil change. I told her to decline the brake job because I know they are still in decent shape. The next day after, I noticed there was oil all over my garage. I checked the drain plug and they had stripped the drain pan threads completely. I took the car back in and told them about it. The manager told me that he wasn't there that day and didn't seem to care that he has lousy help. They did agree to fix the problem for free and I thought everything was going to turn out well. A few days later I noticed oil in my garage once again. I check the drain plug and I was able to rotate it a quarter turn. My lesson is learned don't use these idiots. If they can't get by without screwing up an oil change then think of what they could do with a major repair. I hope they didnt't touch anything else on my vehicle. more
