They buy from puppy mills. The parents of the puppies are left in cages never to be let out, bred over and over again. They are never cuddled or loved by humans. To make toy breeds they are often taken early by c-section so that they can sell tea cup sizes. This does not allow the dog to develop properly.
There are millions of adoptable dogs in shelters and rescue centers across the nation. I have 5 rescues and they make the most loving pets. They know what they have been saved from.
Breeding should be greatly reduced and regulated! DO NOT BUY FROM PET STORES!!!! Look online for the specific breed you want and they can direct you to rescue groups that save that specific breed! You will never regret it.
