Thanks Brad for the CORRECT information! I work in a Judaica Store (not in CO) but Renee is truly misinformed. OCCASIONALLY you will find a claf (parchment, scroll) already inside the mezuzah case, online. HOWEVER, if you want to insure the claf is truly KOSHER, it's best to buy it from a reputable Judaica Store like this one. There is no way to be sure it's kosher, when you buy it online. Most Jewish people know that the claf doesn't come with the case/cover. Brad is correct- this is no ""bait and switch"". Many customers will buy the case as a gift, but not the claf. I have been inside this store on a vacation to Denver, and found the Staff very knowlegable and courteous. If people don't know the facts about Judaism, things like this happen.
