I went to HomeDepot to buy a Water Heater tank. The HomeDepot guy just connected me to this company. I bought a GE hot water tank which has a price less than $400. But the base installation with the tank is already $729. I am not sure what $300 installation supposed to cover. My water tank is in the garage with an open space, quite easy to install.\r

Anyway, I was asked to install the following items on top of $729 \r

- $79 for installing Earthquake Strapes at the top and bottom third\r
- $39 for installing Sediment Trap \r
- $89 for installing gas shut off value\r
- $49 for install 2x4 for earthquake strape\r
- $290 for increasing connector vent to 4''\r
- $54 for permit\r

The total would be over $1329 (before tax). Way to expensive, out of my budget. When I wanted to change to use another vendor (like Lowe's), the guy was able to give me some discount. The final price is $1000 (plus tax). Around $600 installation fee for a $400 water tank. You need to plan Big budget ahead before going
