Please do not take your pets here! Dr. Baumgart Jr. does not provide quality care to his patients. He cares about money more than the animals and it clearly shows. He performs surgeries that he is not competent in doing and charges for treatments that are never performed! Clients are always kept waiting for appointments, sometimes up to 30 minutes. Animals here are left in cages with no heating or air conditioning and the Dr. never checks on them. Hospitalized patients never receive the proper care but owners are charged regardless. Do not let your pet out of sight if you do visit Southport Pet Hospital.
