When Diggers first opened in Suwanee it was consistently packed. We went for dinner or drinks at least once a week. There has been a steady decline in service over the last six months which, I assume, is the reason the restaurant is now empty and the only people in the bar seem to be regulars sitting around the bar yelling back and forth to one another. \r
I took clients to Diggers over the holidays and racked up bar bills totalling $520 over two visits. Diggers offered a reward card offering one point for each dollar spent and a $20 reward after each 200 points was accumulated. When I returned last week I was told that the system was being re-worked and the points were not available. Sounds like a bit of a scam to me. \r
This was the first time in months I had been back with my family for dinner. We will not be returning. Their new policy of charging for additional salad dressing or salsa combined with the poor service and attitude of management and the decline of atmosphere makes me think that Diggers will close soon. \r
I can only assume that there is new management or ownership since the original staff seems to be gone and the decline of the restaurant has happened so quickly.
