When a woman has cancer and loses her hair, it can be a traumatic event. The lady at Comfort Wigs could not have been more compassionate and spent time with me until I found the perfect wig. While I was there, a little girl came to the shop with her mother. When the owner invited her to sit in front of the mirror to have her ""hair"" done, she evolved from a quiet, shy little girl into a smiling princess. It was amazing to see her confidence grow in the short time I was there. When she left, she was a different child, so excited about her long hair. The lady helping me said this sort of thing is what makes her job so worthwhile. Whenever I stand in front of the mirror now, bald and feeling sorry for myself, I think of that little girl.
