We bought our QuadraFire Pellet insert stove approximately 3 1/2 years ago. When we were in the process of looking at different options, both the type of stove and the vendor, the owner couldn't do enough for us. He called, came out, measured gave us input as to what he thought would work best and accomplish what we wanted. Everything was done with expediency. Until we bought the stove and had it installed. Service is not the name of their game. Presently, we have been without the use of the stove for three weeks. For the initial appt to have the problem evaluated I had to wait over a week for an appt. The service man gets here, is able to diagnose what is wrong with it almost immediately. It was a common problem with normal use of the stove...or so he said. But he didn't have the part. (You would think that with a common problem, he would be carrying the part necessary to fix it) An appt was made for a few days later to install the part. After I didn't hear from him, I called Pine Lake and was then told that he had called in sick. This was at noon. So, we are now into our third week without the use of the stove and AGAIN this morning Pine Lake called and stated they couldn't find the part, 'it must have been put on the truck and taken to the other store'. Mind you, this is the most recent incident, others range from not knowing anything about previous calls, not answering the phones or returning calls. I am totally done with these folks. Next call is to the BBB and to the distributor. more
