I hired Golden State Home Inspections at the recommendation of my realtor to inspect a home I was considering purchasing. What I really wanted was for them to inspect the pool and spa, and though they were able to inspect most of it, they couldn't evaluate a few things that weren't hooked up. This was the only drawback. Otherwise, they did a thorough job, and had good customer service. It worked out just fine.
