First he is rude. For that reason alone I would not go back to see him. Second, in my opinion he is incompetent. I went to see him twice. Both times he failed to diagnose a basal cell carcinoma that I pointed out to him. Neither time did he examine me for other carcinomas although he had my history of multiple BCCs and a squamous cell cancer. Two weeks after the second visit I went to another dermatologist. Since the BCC was on my nose I was very concerned that it not grow and require more extensive surgery. The second doctor gave me a tcomplete exam and recognized the one on my nose as a basal cell carcinoma. She also found another on the other side of my nose, one on my forehead and and another on my back. She biopsied all four and all four came back positive for BCC. I am scheduled to have Mohs surgery on the three cancers on my face and reconstructive surgery on my nose might be required. The second doctor was much, much younger and may have better eyesight. Regardless, if Dr Ellington cannot diagose a BCC I wouldn't trust him to find a melanoma.
