We always make sure to stop by Burgher Haus when we're on a trip through the area...usually a bike trip! Was last there in August...the fried chicken and homemade desserts were yummy. One of the owner's, Mike, came out and talked to us before we left...checking out our bikes. Good people, good food! Unfortunately they re-did Hwy. 50 in that area and the the town of California was bypassed...but it's just a quick jog off the new 4-lane highway to great food!
