I decided to use Southport Heating, Plumbing, & Geothermal because a person I had used from another heating company had gone to them when they started and became part of the ownership group. I had been very happy with his service, so I was happy to follow him.
The first issue I had was that my furnace wasn't working. I called their twenty-four hour line and left a message. But by the next day I still hadn't heard back from anyone so I gave them another call. I think their lack of responsiveness is their only real drawback. I feel like the few times I've had to call them, I've had to be the one to chase them and keep calling them to make things happen. Almost like I had to work a little too hard to make contact. That is the biggest frustration. After I was able to get somebody on the phone, everything that followed went really well.
Otherwise, I think this company is great! All of the technicians are excellent and provide great customer service and I have nothing bad to say about them. If you want to feel good about the work being done by heating and AC technicians who are knowledgeable and competent. Who are experienced and are able to fix the problem at hand, and not go looking for other problems to fix. The technicians are greatly skilled and will go to great lengths to get the issue repaired.
