One day, I caught my son on the street corner, smoking a cigarette and drinking a can of beer with a group of boys much older than him. He said that they made him do it and I believed him. Two days later, I caught him with those boys again, and the filth that was pouring from all of their mouths was making me sick to my stomach. I dragged my boy away from those others, ignoring the foul words they were shouting. I shoved him in the door at Progressive Martial Arts and told him for the 30 day free trial, he would be there training. At the end, he could agree to keep learning MMA or kickboxing or whatever or he could go back to the thugs and hoods on the street. He is a smart boy and every time he gets a new belt, I will be able to tell him that once again.
